Troubleshooting for Windows:
If you're seeing a message like "___ can't be downloaded securely", follow these steps to resolve it:
Chrome or Edge:
- Next to the warning, click on the three dots.
- Select Keep to allow the download to proceed.
Firefox:
- Click on the download arrow in the top right corner.
- Select Allow Download.
Disable SmartScreen Temporarily:
- On Windows, SmartScreen might block downloads from unknown publishers. This can be done directly through Microsoft Edge;
Access Windows Settings:
- Press Windows + I or open Settings via the Start menu.
- Go to Privacy & Security and select Windows Security.
Open App and Browser Control:
- Click on Open Windows Security at the top.
- In the Windows Security window, click on App & Browser Control.
Disable Reputation-Based Protection:
- Under Reputation-based Protection, click Settings.
- Toggle off the SmartScreen options, such as Check apps and files, SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge, and Potentially unwanted app blocking.
