Building upon the guidance from the "Editing Parameters Using MIDI Sysex Messages" section of the Grandmother manual, you can refer to the following example sysex commands as a reference for crafting your own sysex commands. For instance, to disable keyboard local control, you would utilize the following sysex command:

F0 04 16 23 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F7

You will observe that the parameter ID (10) for keyboard local control in this command differs from the one noted in the manual (16). We acknowledge this discrepancy and are actively working to resolve it.

To transmit this command to the Grandmother, launch MIDI-OX, input the command into the sysex view window, click save, assign a name to the file, select send sysex, and choose the file you’ve just created. To reactivate keyboard local control, you would use:

F0 04 16 23 10 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F7

As a faster alternative to generating your own sysex files from the ground up, you can utilize the program Chonky Synth Parameter Manager found HERE

You may notice that some parameter ID options are ineffective and that the sysex commands produced frequently feature different parameter IDs than those listed in the program and the manual.

As previously mentioned, we recognize that several Parameter ID options are absent or incorrect and are addressing the issue.

To implement alternate tuning systems into the Grandmother, follow these steps. Import the desired .scl file into a .scl to .syx converter and export it as a .syx file. Load the .syx file you've just created into your preferred sysex manager and send it to the Grandmother.

The scale will persist until you power off the instrument or load a different scale.

Currently, you cannot load and save multiple scales into parameter ID 1’s slots 1-31 as suggested in the manual.

A valuable resource for downloading .scl files is SCALA.

An excellent resource for analyzing alternate scales, both mathematically and harmonically, is SEVISH
