When trying to transfer a license to another user, you might notice some product entries are not able to be checked/included for a transfer:


Your product might not be transferable for one of the following reasons:


Your product is a third-party product – transfers are handled by our partners

If you want to remove a third-party license from your NI account or transfer it to another user, you have to contact the manufacturer of the library directly. Most manufacturers handle the deregistration themselves. If you are referred to Native Instruments, please obtain written approval from the manufacturer (as a PDF document). We need this document to legitimize the release of the license of a third-party product.


Your product has been registered within the last 60 days

For technical reasons, serial numbers are automatically excluded from license transfer for 60 days after registration. In case you wish to resell the product before the 60-day transfer block, please contact our support team.


Your product is an outdated supplement, such as Komplete Select

For some products like Maschine, we frequently offer supplements like Komplete Select, Komplete Elements, Komplete Selection, etc. If a new Supplement is released, it replaces the former version. To make sure that your transfer does not include a bunch of outdated versions, we made them not transferable. You only need to transfer the current supplement version.


For titles within Komplete Start, such as Massive X Player, these are free and included products and are not transferable, as they can be redeemed within Native Access via the Discover -> Free section for all users or via the Komplete Start page.


Your product is an NFR (not for resale) version

Any Native Instruments products labelled or otherwise provided to a user as "NFR" are only meant to be used for demonstration, testing, and evaluation purposes. NFR products cannot be resold or transferred.

Your product is an EDU (educational) version

Your serial number belongs to an EDU (Educational) license, which is generally sold for a reduced price and can only be purchased and used by students or teachers of eligible educational institutions.

Therefore, it is not allowed to resell or transfer the product, and it is not possible for us to delete an EDU serial number from your account.


When you install the product, you are also confirming our End User License Agreement regarding EDU versions.
