With the release of Komplete 26, we continue to expand the ecosystem with a significant amount of new content, including new boutique libraries, Play Series instruments, and major updates to our core applications.
Because users join us from different stages of the Komplete journey, we use a tiered pricing structure. This ensures that the price you pay is proportional to the amount of new software and content you are adding to your collection.
Understanding the tiers
The cost of your update is determined by the version of Komplete currently registered to your account:
Previous Generation (Komplete 15): If you are moving from the immediate predecessor, you receive the lowest update price to stay current.
Penultimate Generation (Komplete 14): Users on the second-to-last version pay the standard, accustomed update price.
Older Generations (Komplete 13 or older): If you are updating from a legacy version, the price is higher.
The Value of the Jump
It is important to note that if you are updating from an older generation, you aren't just getting the new features of Komplete 26. You are also receiving all the instruments, effects, and expansions that were added in the versions you skipped. As a result, users updating from older versions receive significantly more content and value in a single transaction.
Here's an example for Komplete 26 Standard, Ultimate and Collector's Edition:
| Standard | Ultimate | CE | |
| Price for Komplete 15 owners | 149$ | 299$ | 399$ |
| Additional products | 36 | 59 | 66 |
| Price for Komplete 14 owners | 199$ | 399$ | 499$ |
| Additional products | 72 | 110 | 123 |
| Price for Komplete 13 owners | 299$ | 599$ | 699$ |
| Additional products | 105 | 156 | 184 |
Updates vs. Upgrades
The same logic applies regardless of the path you choose:
Updates: Moving to the latest version of the same bundle (e.g. Komplete 15 Standard to Komplete 26 Standard).
Upgrades: Moving to a higher-tier bundle (e.g. Komplete 15 Standard to Komplete 26 Ultimate).
