If BFD3 crashes when loading presets, the issue is usually related to incorrect content paths or corrupt cache files. To resolve this, try the following:

  1. Verify Content Paths:

    • Open BFD3 and navigate to Tools > Set Content Locations.
    • Ensure that all the libraries and expansions are correctly listed. If not, click Add and browse to the correct folders where your BFD libraries are stored.

  2. Reset Settings:

    • If the content paths are correct but the problem persists, you can reset your settings.
    • Close BFD3, and go to Documents/BFD Drums on your computer. (this may be in a different location depending on where the software is installed to) 
    • Locate the BFD3 preferences file and delete it.
