You may have encountered an issue where your sustain pedal is having the opposite of the intended effect, sustaining when not pressed, and not sustaining when pressed. This is commonly due to a polarity 'mis-match', causing the MPC to interpret the pedal position incorrectly.
To address this, some pedals have polarity switches on them. You can simply change the position of the switch, and you should see the pedal functionality restored to the expected behaviour.
Alternatively, there is a setting you can access on the Key 61, to match the polarity of the pedal. To access this:
1. Press the Keyboard Ctrl button, above and to the right of the main scrolling encoder.
2. Navigate on the window to Pedal Settings.
3. Select the relevant pedal, either Sustain, Expression or FS2.
4. Change the Polarity field to either Positive or Negative, matching the pedal. Normally, this would need to be changed to the opposite polarity, if the pedal is currently working in reverse.
