Some users have reported that the driver for the Prime 2, Prime 4, and Prime 4+ will not complete installation. The driver installation will proceed to install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable program, but will not proceed past this. You may notice the installer flash on the screen only briefly.


This may be due to conflicting C++ redistributable programs in your system. Please follow these steps before attempting to install the driver:


  1. Navigate to the Windows Add or Remove Programs utility (System Settings > Add or Remove Programs or Settings > Apps > Apps & Features):


  2. Search for the word "Visual" and this will populate several Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs. Look for the program named Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86). Select each and uninstall. These will be reinstalled during the driver installation.
  3. Once this is complete, launch the driver installer and properly install the driver for your device. If you need to re-download the driver, please find the latest version on the Denon DJ downloads page.
