The CV OUTPUTS on the Muse are configured via the MOD MAP and can be EITHER bi-polar or unipolar depending on the modulation source used and any functions applied to that source in the Mod Map.


Unipolar

  • Unipolar signals only have positive voltage values.
  • In a unipolar signal, the voltage ranges from 0 volts to a maximum positive value.
  • Unipolar signals are often used for controlling parameters such as filter cutoff, oscillator pitch, and modulation depth.


Bi-polar

  • Bipolar signals have both positive and negative voltage values.
  • In a bipolar signal, the voltage ranges from a maximum positive value to a maximum negative value, and back to the positive value.
  • This type of signal is often used for controlling parameters such as modulation depth, pitch bend, and LFO (low-frequency oscillator) modulation.
