Authorization Errors - Workarounds & Solutions

If you encounter authorization errors while redeeming your code, try the following solutions:

Log in and out of your account

Sometimes, logging in and out of your Moog software account can solve the authorization error.

Configure a default browser

Ensure that a default browser is configured on your computer. Without specifying a default browser, the software is unable to link to your Moog software account to authorise.

If Chrome is your default browser, try specifying a different default browser.

Disable firewall settings

Check your computer's security settings and disable any firewall settings that may be blocking the authorization process.

Sync Time & Date

Activation errors may occur if the time & date settings on your computer are manually specified, causing a 'time-out' between our servers and your computer. To fix this, please follow the steps below:

Window:

  1. Open the Start Menu and type "Date & time settings" in the search bar.
  2. Click on "Date & time settings" from the search results.
  3. In the Date & Time window, ensure that the "Set time automatically" option is turned on.
  4. Below this, also make sure "Set time zone automatically" is enabled.
  5. If needed, click the "Sync now" button under Additional settings to force a time update.

MacOS:

  1. Click the Apple menu icon and go to System Settings
  2. Scroll to General > Date & Time
  3. Check "Set date and time automatically."
  4. Ensure the correct time zone is selected.
  5. Your Mac should now sync the date and time online.
