For general troubleshooting of the One, we recommend the following steps:

  1. First, familiarize yourself with gain staging the One. The Master Volume in particular works differently from other Moog synthesizers, so please have a look at the document here.

  2. Next, try creating a new Factory User Space by following the instructions here.

The User Space is the current Moog One working environment. All Global settings, Presets, Synths, Modulation Matrices, Sequences, Effect settings, and more exist within the confines of the User Space.

Multiple User Spaces can be created, saved, and recalled – either from the internal memory, or from an external USB drive, so there is no need to worry about specific presets or settings that have been created on the instrument being lost.

Custom presets living in older user spaces can be exported and imported into the new user space.

  1. Next, try reloading the latest firmware using the files and instructions here.

  2. If you are still experiencing trouble with the One, please attempt a complete recalibration following the instructions here. This process takes up to four hours, so it is best to start it overnight.
