Alesis has identified an issue with some of the earliest Strata Core modules that may cause the module to intermittently freeze during power up. Fortunately, we have a fix in place with firmware update v1.2.1 that can correct this and any filesystem problems stemming as a result of the failed power up.

Who should perform this update?

We recommend all Strata Core users perform this update at the earliest opportunity, even if you are not experiencing any issues with freezing. This is a good preventative measure to ensure your module is operating with the fullest extent of protections.

Where can I find this update?

If your module is connected to WIFI, you will receive a notification asking if you want to install the new update, or you can go into your settings, select Update > Online Update

If you are not connected to WIFI, you can download the updater application (to run on PC or Mac) or the USB updater file from the Strata Core Downloads Page:

How do I update?

We recommend that all users disconnect their module from all peripheral devices, particularly the trigger cable snake and all MIDI and audio connections. You will need to leave the power source connected, as well as a USB cable if using your computer to update, or a USB drive if updating via USB drive. If you are using a USB drive, please reformat this first and place only the update file on the drive to guarantee there are no interruptions.
