This guide is designed to help avoid issues with your MPC pads triggering incorrectly. This includes instances of double triggering, and unintentional adjacent pad triggers.
Pad Threshold
Increasing the pad threshold can help to eliminate unwanted triggers, as this means that a stronger force is required for the pad to register an event. This means that accidental pad hits or vibrations can be 'filtered out'.
This can be accessed from the preferences page, under the 'hardware' tab.
Pad Sensitivity
In a similar manner, reducing pad sensitivity will mean that weaker strikes of the pads will not trigger, which reduces the chances of accidental hits or vibrations causing a trigger event.
This can also be accessed from the preferences page, under the 'hardware' tab.
Playing Surface
Place the MPC on a solid surface, avoiding anything unsteady or 'bouncy', as this can result in undesirable playing characteristics.
With the above, in most scenarios any unintentional pad triggers can be avoided. However, if the issue persists despite implementing these steps, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our support team HERE.
