MPC2 Desktop comes with a variety of powerful synth engine plugins, including Tube Synth, Electric, Bassline, and Hybrid 3. This article will guide you on how to access these plugins, with a specific focus on accessing Hybrid 3, even if it's missing from your plugin list.
How to Access Your MPC Synth Engine Plugins:
Open MPC2 Desktop.
Go to the "View" Menu at the top of the screen.
Select "Expansion Manager" from the dropdown list.
In the Expansion Manager, you will see a list of available plugins.
Ensure Hybrid is enabled (with the boxes ticked):
- Tube Synth
- Electric
- Bassline
- Hybrid 3
Once enabled, these synth engine plugins will appear in your MPC Plugins list, ready for use in your projects.
How to Access Hybrid 3 if It’s Missing:
If Hybrid 3 is missing from your plugin list:
- Go to View > Expansion Manager.
- Find Hybrid 3 in the list and tick the box next to it to enable it.
Once enabled, navigate to your plugin section:
- Click Plugins in your MPC project.
- You should see Hybrid 3, along with Tube Synth, Electric, and Bassline under the MPC Plugins category.
Additional Notes:
- Hybrid 3 is integrated within the MPC2 software, so you do not need a separate VST or AU build for it to appear. You also do not need to deposit it into iLok, as it’s included within the software itself.
