Can it be brought to other countries and used without changing the power supply?
The Forty Sixty and Forty Eighty have a switching power supply that must be manually switched via the voltage select. Please see the user guide for more info on how to access it.
Do I need register the speakers to use them?
While we always suggest users register their products, registration of the product is not required to access the M-Audio app for equalization settings and firmware updates. This can instead be found inside your phone's app store, and do not require any sort of sign in or account.
Can this speaker connect to Bluetooth?
Yes! The Forty Series can be connected to another Forty Series speaker via Bluetooth for True Wireless Stereo. This is done using the M-Audio Studio Control Application. Note, when connecting to an analog source, such as an audio interface, or mixer, you will need to use either a TRS or XLR connection for each stereo channel.
Note: Due to the inherent latency of Bluetooth, True Wireless Stereo should be turned off for lowest possible latency.
What Does Room Correction Mean?
The Forty series speakers include built in Digital Signal Processing that allows you to correct unwanted frequencies via the EQ functions in the App that may arise from the acoustics of your room. This feature can be controlled through the M-Audio Studio Control App (available for iOS and Android).
Do you suggest any kind of program to tune the EQ of the speakers to my room?
While not made by M-Audio we have found that Room EQ Wizard is a powerful tool for what adjustments need to be made to the speakers' EQ settings to get an ideal sound for the acoustics of your room.
