Both the first and second generation MPC Live consoles allow you to expand onboard storage using an exFAT-formatted SSD (sold separately).
The connection type is sata, so please ensure that the SSD you purchase matches the connection type shown below...
To install your SSD, please check through the following steps...
1. Turn the MPC Live over so the bottom panel is facing up.
2. Find the rectangular plate in the center of the bottom panel and remove its four screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Once the plate is removed, you’ll see a SATA cable and a power cable connected to the hard drive mount.
4. Align the SATA connector with the connector on your hard drive, and gently push them together to connect.
5. Secure the SSD onto the rectangular plate from step 2 using the curved screw holes.
6. Reattach the back plate to the bottom panel, ensuring it's firmly secured.
7. Power on your MPC, then navigate to Menu > Browse > Places tab. Your hard drive should appear on the left side.
If you encounter any issues using the SSD, simply hold down the SHIFT button and tap Format to re-format it using the MPC Live. It's important to note that this will delete all data currently on the hard drive, so please back it up first.
