1. Start by putting your sample onto a USB Flash Drive or SD Card, then connect the drive to your MPC.
2. Navigate to the Browse menu, then to the Places tab. Select your external drive, locate your sample, and tap the Load button.
3. Press the Menu button and select Sample Edit.
4. Tap the Trim tab to change it to a Chop tab.
5. Tap the Threshold button to automatically chop the sample and assign the chopped segments to the pads.
Adjust the Threshold field to control how sensitive the chops are.
To adjust the chops, drag the red and green tabs on either side of each segment.
6. Hold down the Shift button and tap Convert at the bottom of the screen.
7. In the pop-up window, you will be given the option New Drum Track Using Slices; select Do It.
8. Press the Main button and you will see that your drum slices have now been added as a drum program track.
Now, you can use your chopped samples inside of your MPC Project and play them in using your MPC pads.
Saving All Samples: To save the samples, simply save the entire project via Menu > Save > Project
