One of the most exciting features of the Sheeran Looper + is the ability to, with program changes, pull up preloaded music to loops for live performances as backing tracks and loop over them. In this guide, we'll talk about setting up loops and the upload process.

To begin, we'll need to recap accessing the internal storage of the Looper + from the user guide. To do so, you'll want a USB B or USB B-to-C cable, depending on whatever is available on your personal computer. Connect the board to your computer with the cable. From there, you'll want to turn on the board, waiting to get past the boot screen. Once the looper is ready, press and hold the main encoder knob to access the menu, then release and turn it to navigate to the USB option. Press to enter the option, then press again to enter the USB connection mode. The screen will show SETUP.... before changing over to a screen with Exit and Restart. When you are finished making changes to the Looper's memory, you will press the encoder knob to disconnect.

Before a Loop can have 2 layers loaded to it, it needs to be saved in the board in the mode that you want it to be. Right now when you connect the board and enter one of the numbered loop folders, you will see this:

What happens is that the board sees the recorded loop file, but nothing else, and then thinks that you mean for it to be a single loop mode. Pop the Looper + back out to the standalone mode, then enter the menu, navigate to Mode and change the mode to a mode that will allow you to save to an A and a B slot. For this example we will use Multi mode.

After making a loop one of the other modes and saving it, the file system changes to look like this when opened up on your computer:

After which, files are able to be dropped into the Multi_A and Multi_B folders, and have them preassign to the loop(A or B) once the loop is loaded.

Please note the limitations of the modes and midi when pre-loading a track to the Looper + : Loops that are miscut or have odd or uncommon bar lengths may not work properly or cause unexpected results.
