** The PRIME Go and PRIME 2 are standalone products that do not require macOS 12 Monterey or M1 support for normal use. Operations such as updating firmware and transferring files have passed testing for macOS 12 and M1 support.
MCX8000 Support
A driver for MCX8000 support was previously required on macOS Catalina. This driver is no longer necessary on macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey and may even prevent communication altogether. We recommend that users uninstall this driver before using the MCX8000 with macOS Monterey.
To uninstall, please download the MCX8000 Mac Driver at denondj.com/downloads. Once downloaded, double-click the .dmg and run the MCX8000 MIDI Uninstaller.
macOS 12 Monterey Software Support
Engine Prime
The Engine Prime software is a crucial part of the PRIME series ecosystem and many of the PRIME controllers rely on the software for key functionality.
Our Prime series product owners will be happy to know the Engine PRIME Desktop software is fully supported for use on macOS Monterey, both M1 and Intel processors. For more details and required system specs, please visit the Engine Prime desktop software download page:
IMPORTANT: For the Engine Prime software to be able to access external storage devices, the application must be granted access to removable drives. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Files and Folders > Engine Prime > check off the box next to Removable Volumes.
For more details on this and other macOS accessibility settings, please visit the Engine DJ support article below.
Software Partners
Many of our products are dependent on software for all functionality and control while the device is connected to a computer. Our products may be considered "supported" for an operating system, but will not be functional until software support is also available. So, It is crucial that you weigh software compatibility before choosing to update your system.
