What is BFD Orchestral?
BFD Orchestral is an expansion pack for BFD3, offering a comprehensive library of orchestral and cinematic percussion instruments. It includes a wide range of deeply sampled drums, cymbals, and mallet instruments, each captured with multiple mic positions and velocity layers for realism and expression.
This expansion was recorded by John Emrich, a seasoned percussionist and engineer, at Omega Studios. The same recording space has been used for other notable BFD expansions, such as Jazz & Funk, Percussion, and JEX.
