What is BFD Wooden Snares?
BFD Wooden Snares is a collection of 5 premium snare drums for BFD3 - each played with sticks and captured with wires on and off and delivered in natural and 2 processed versions. There are 30 variations in total.
What do I need in order to use this expansion pack?
BFD Wooden Snares requires a registered copy of BFD3. It is not compatible with BFD1.x, BFD2 or BFD Eco.

Canopus 1ply Elm
A relatively uncommon material for drum construction, Elm’s characteristics are a very pleasant low range with a dry and short sustain – as well as a fast, tight response.

Canopus Zelkova
One-piece drum hollowed out of a 200-year-old Zelkova tree trunk for added integrity. Each hit produces a “block of sound” with a sharp edge and a thick low pitch while maintaining warmth.

Who is BFD Wooden Snares recorded by?
BFD Wooden Snares was recorded and produced in-house at FXpansion by Drew Vernon, Michael Bugh, and Jay Sikora.
The download size is approximately 22 GB. There are two separate packages:
- The "off" snares is 10 GB and downloadable in three parts.
- The "on" snares is 12 GB and downloadable in three parts.
Do you allow license transfers?
Yes, however:
- If you're the seller, you must contact us in advance of the sale. If you're the prospective second-hand buyer, you must check that the seller is cleared to sell. If in doubt, contact us.
- There is a flat $50 fee per product for a license transfer, which can be purchased from our online shop.
- Review copies, NFRs (Not For Resale copies, sometimes used for in-store demos), etc., cannot be transferred under any circumstances.
- We reserve the right to refuse a license transfer request.
Once a transfer is authorized and the fee has been paid, the new owner is entitled to exactly the same upgrade paths and technical support resources as if they had bought the product new.
