This guide serves to assist in outlining the functions, use cases, and limitations of the Control One's Import/Export feature.

Exporting to Control One
The "Export to Control One" feature in SoundSwitch allows you to transfer your venue's fixture and Autoloop information to the Control One. This can be useful if the Control One is used by multiple DJs or if you want to quickly load venue data onto the device.
To export, connect the Control One to your computer running SoundSwitch, then select "Export to Control One." This will transfer the fixture and Autoloop data for the selected venue.
Please note: Scripted track data will not be exported.
Importing from Control One
Once venue data has been exported to the Control One, it can be imported onto a computer running SoundSwitch. Only the fixture and Autoloop data will be imported, as scripted tracks cannot be transferred. Importing can be done via the File menu in Edit Mode or by selecting the venue with the USB icon in Performance Mode.
Keep in mind that the Control One has limited storage, so exporting large venues with many fixtures or Autoloops may exceed its capacity.
Considerations Before Exporting
- Not a Backup Solution: The "Export to Control One" feature should not be used to back up your SoundSwitch project because essential data like scripted tracks won't be included.
- Not for Engine Lighting Use: If you're planning to use your SoundSwitch project with Engine Lighting on Engine hardware, do not use this feature. Instead, save your project to your computer or transfer it to an external drive.
For Engine Lighting, always export your SoundSwitch project to the drive containing your audio files that will be connected to your Engine hardware. For additional information and step-by-step instructions on this process, please refer to the guides linked below:
