Adjusting Firewall Access on Windows


When installing on Windows, please install by right-clicking and running as administrator.

This should then bring up the following screen below, check both boxes and allow through your firewall 



If you did not adjust your firewall settings after installing the inMusic Software Center or any of your Air music technology plugins, go to CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM & SECURITY > WINDOWS DEFENDER FIREWALL > ALLOW APPS TO COMMUNICATE THROUGH WINDOWS DEFENDER FIREWALL


Locate the inmusic software center.exe and check each box and allow through your firewall.



Adjusting Firewall Access on Mac


For users seeking greater control, macOS allows you to select which apps and services can bypass the firewall. You can specify whether to allow or block connections on a per-app basis, ensuring that only trusted applications can communicate through your network.


Turning on Firewall Protection

To enable the firewall on your Mac:

  1. 1. Click the Apple menu and select System Settings.
  2. In the sidebar, scroll down and click Network.
  3. Select Firewall and toggle the switch to On.


Specifying Firewall Access for Services and Apps

If you want to customize which apps and services can access your Mac through the firewall:

  1. 1. After enabling the firewall, click Options
    • If the Options button is disabled, ensure the firewall is turned on.
  2. Click the Add button below the list of applications and services.
  3. Select the apps or services you want to manage.
  4. After adding an app or service, click its up and down arrows to choose whether to allow or block connections through the firewall.
