Download and Install Your Expansions (Standalone Zip)

1. Navigate to My Expansions > MPC Sound Packs.

2. Here, you'll find all of your purchased expansions available for download and installation.

3. If your expansion has a standalone installer, click the drop down arrow. Then, click Download

4. Once the download has completed, click Show In Folder

Note 1: If 'Show in Folder' does not appear... You have downloaded the expansion installer for desktop - Navigate back to step 3.

5. When you click Show In Folder, you will be directed to the folder of the downloaded expansion. The expansion folder will be extracted/unzipped by default in the following location:

  • Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic
  • Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic

Installation to MPC Standalone Hardware

1. Select the drive where you want to install the content. Make sure that the drive has enough free space to hold the entire pack.

We recommend that you choose an internal SATA drive for ease of use. If your MPC does not have a SATA bay, use an SD card or USB drive.

2. Connect the selected drive to your computer

Note: Internal MPC SATA drives can connect to your computer by putting your MPC into 'Controller mode'.

3. On your computer, open the location of the downloaded expansion.

  • Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic
  • Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic

In this example we are using F9 Instruments expansion. The downloaded folder is named: FIn_zUxLz_A1_x

Double click/open this folder.

4. You will then see a second folder. In this example we are using F9 Instruments expansion. The downloaded folder is named F9 Instruments-1.0.3

 Double click/open this folder.

5. You will then see the main expansion folder. In this example we are using F9 Instruments expansion. The folder will is named F9 Instruments

6. Copy the expansion pack folder from your computer, to the inside of the Expansions folder on your user drive (SATA, SD card or USB drive).

Make sure you copy the entire folder itself, not the content within it.

Note: If one does not already exist, create a folder in the root directory (top-level) of the drive (not in any folder) and name it Expansions

In this example, we have copied the F9 Instruments folder to the Expansions folder on our SSD called 'Test'

7. Wait for the files to copy.

8. Once the files have been copied, safely eject the drive from your computer/put your MPC back in standalone mode.

9. Insert the drive into your MPC. Your expansion will appear in the Bowser, under the Expansions tab as seen in the screenshot below:
